This article displays the findings of a survey of the Joint Commission – Expert Com-mission II of the reception of the “Common Structure of Content-Related Require-ments for the Scientific Disciplines and Didactics in Teacher Training” 2008 / 2012 / 2019 as well as the EKD-Texts 96 (“Theological-Pedagogical Competence”) and 126 (“On the Development of Teaching Degree Programmes of Protestant Religious Edu-cation”) in study regulations and teaching programmes for the teaching degree “Prot-estant Theology / Religious Education” and on (desired) future areas of respon-sibility of the expert commission II. For this purpose information was obtained on all Protestant-theological faculties and departments of Protestant Theology in Germany about the self-assessment of the guidelines’ reception of the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs (KMK) and the Protestant Church in Germany (EKD), the implementation of the guidelines and the hopes and expectations pinned on the work of the expert commission II with a response rate of 90% in 2018.
