In Islamic religion teacher training, modules on other religions are a natural part of the theological-religious education training phase at universities. This article therefore addresses the question of how access to other religions and worldviews is made possible at the locations for Islamic theology and which competencies in the area of dialogue skills are promoted. The module handbooks for the training of Islamic religious teachers are examined for the intended competencies and also the question of how to deal with foreignness.
