Common prejudices against Jews can already be found among pupils at primary school level. A sensitive approach to Christian-Jewish relations in Christian religious education can counteract these prejudices and thus combat anti-Semitism. To this end curricula and textbooks for these lessons need to be designed without prejudice. With the help of qualitative content analysis, this article shows both successful and problematic representations in comparison with earlier studies. In addition, it presents an analysis toolkit designed specifically for teaching materials in primary schools, which was developed according to the didactic principle of elementarisation.
