Poland is a country with a high level of religiosity in society. Currently, there are nearly 190 churches and other religious associations. The dominant among them is the Roman Catholic Church, who clearly determines the religious landscape in Poland. The special status of this church results not only from the statistical position of its followers, but also from a number of historical, cultural and political conditions. Today, Poland is a pluralistic country with large-scale modernization processes. They result in the secularization of a part of society. In this article, we will analyze the phenomenon of irreligion in the context of the transformation of religiousness in Polish society and the implied pedagogical challenges.
