Troubled Waters: Church in an unchurched Context

The article describes the changeful history of the German Lutheran Church St. Petri in Petersburg. Against this background it comments on the statement “Religious Education in View of Unchurched people”, published by the Evangelical Church in Germany (EKD). It suggests to make the non-denominational perspective of unchurched people a regular topic in theological education at university and therefor to link Practical Theology with Contemporary History.
