Religious and politically bilingual - what does that mean? Ability to speak and talk in the context of political religious education

Politics and religion are always in a precarious relationship. This is also the case in religious education. Some see only in the field of the public and politics the actual point of faith, which has to be articulated in the form and approach of religious education. The others see precisely in this an undue politicization of religious education. The present considerations offer a further proposal in this tension. It is based on the contouring of a political dimension of religious education in education theory, which is in a critical-correlative interdependence with other dimensions. The category of translation plays an important role here.
